  • Overview

    Incumbent is responsible for the custodial duties of designated CCS offices/sites located in Snohomish County. This may include, but not be limited to: Everett Family Center and the Marysville and Everett Recovery Centers.

     

    This position is Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, specific shift hours are currently undetermined; but will be an Evening/Swing shift.

     

    Pay is $15.30 - $16.07 per hour DOE, plus excellent holiday/vacation/sick pay and health benefits!

     

    For internal candidates/union positions only: Compensation is set by agreed to language in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between CCSNW & SEIU 1199NW and determined based on experience.

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Janitorial Duties:
    • Incumbent shall provide janitorial services necessary to maintain the premises in a clean, safe and sanitary condition in accordance with agency and industry standards. Incumbent shall perform daily cleaning, including but not limited to the restrooms, removal of trash, cleaning the windows and vacuuming the carpets, etc.

     

    • Assistance with Facilities Maintenance (as needed and directed by supervisor):
    • Provide assistance as needed with general office maintenance that may include: minor furniture repair and assembly, installation of miscellaneous items (shelves, pictures, coat racks, etc.), and physical relocation of furniture and equipment. Troubleshoot issues and communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor. 

     

    • Errands: 
    • Provide assistance as needed to obtain those items necessary to accomplish custodial/facilities tasks and to replenish janitorial supplies. May include picking up or delivering other non-maintenance-related items.

     

    • Safety:
    • Properly store, use, and dispose of janitorial supplies that may include hazardous materials in accordance with CCS Accident Prevention Program Manual.

     

    • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain up-to-date facilities cleaning check list.

     

    • Meetings:
    • Attend required staffing and/or supervisory meetings as scheduled or director by supervisor.

     

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM:

    • 1 year experience in facilities/janitorial/custodial duties.
    • Minimal knowledge in assisting with general maintenance and repair.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Reliable transportation, current WA State Driver's license and proof of acceptable WA State required automobile insurance.

    • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
    • Demonstrates the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations.
    • Criminal History Background Checks are required prior to employment.
