The Program Director is responsible for all functions of shelter, housing and referral programs: Noel House long-term shelter (20 beds), St. Mark’s (30 beds), 5 community-based volunteer-run shelters (22 beds), the Women’s Referral Center (150 women each evening), the Women’s Wellness Center (daily hygiene services), Noel House permanent housing (20 units) and Eastside Winter Shelter for Families (50 beds). Responsibilities of this position include overseeing daily operations and facilities management, recruitment and supervision of staff, long range goal planning, fund development, budget and fiscal oversight, and management of government contracts. The Program Director ensures that clients receive high-quality services across teams that include direct service staff, case management and program administration. Develops and assures a workplace which values and supports a culturally diverse work environment.
Noel House Programs’ (NHP) mission is to provide safe, comfortable shelter to a diverse community of women, particularly those most vulnerable. We strive to create environments of dignity, respect and compassion. We recognize the intrinsic value of each person and honor her unique experience. Services include shelter, shelter referral, meals, case management, access to health care, referrals to drug and alcohol counseling and job training, advocacy in obtaining permanent housing, public assistance, and other resources. The programs are low barrier and harm reduction-focused.
Noel House Programs shares space with Rose of Lima House in the Bakhita Gardens building in Belltown. Noel House Programs provides women experiencing homelessness with 20 units of shelter and 20 units of housing on the 2nd floor at Bakhita Gardens. Rose of Lima House is the property manager for the 1st floor commercial tenant and the housing units on the 3rd through 6th floors.
