Housing programs provide permanent housing to individuals affected by chronic homelessness.


Incumbent will be responsible for providing assistance to Snohomish County Permanent Supportive Housing Services, which includes working with Case Managers, Apartment Managers, Partner Agencies.  This position will include screening clients, completing the associated documentation and staffing clients with the housing placement team or Program Manager.


This position is Full time, 37.5 hrs. pr week.


Pay is $15.91 - $16.71/hr. DOE, plus excellent holiday / vacation / sick pay and health benefits!

  • Schedule screening appointments with potential clients as housing slots become available.
  • Staff clients with housing placement team for appropriate placement.
  • Assist clients with seamless transition into permanent housing by serving as an advocate and liaison between the client, landlords, and social service agencies.
  • Incumbent will work closely with Case Managers, and the Program Manager.
  • Some travel is required in making deliveries of documents and working with outside agencies.
  • Involves working with area landlords to obtain suitable housing for clients. 


  • Assist in the preparation of statistical reports that are required for auditing purposes.
  • Coordinate with Supportive Housing staff and other appropriate community partners in filling requests for services.
  • Ensure that appropriate paperwork collected, filed, copied and forwarded to appropriate parties.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with program guidelines and documentation for each client record.


Provide transportation to residents/clients as needed/requested.


Other work related duties as required.


HMIS – Incumbent is expected to develop proficiency in maintaining accurate client records in HMIS, the client tracking software application used by programs throughout the agency.  Proficiency includes entry of data into the client record, the editing of information as needed, and the printing of reports within HMIS.



  • 1 year college in human services or related field, OR 1 year of direct experience working with low-income or homeless individuals/families in a professional setting OR volunteer experience in working with low-income or homeless individuals/families – a substitution could be a combination of any of the items listed above that equate to 1 year.
  • Reliable transportation, WA State Driver’s License & proof of current automobile insurance.
  • Proof of acceptable driving record (Driving Abstract-Complete driving record required).
  • Computer skills in MS Word and Excel and Windows-based applications. Ability to use multiple data bases and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team model.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Counseling or related field.
