    Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services is looking for a Human Resources Manager III who is a strategic thinker with innovative ideas; able to lead Human Resources functions that impact employees at all levels of the organization and to create an environment where everyone can do their best work.  The HR Manager serves as a catalyst for facilitating and executing human resource programs, policies, and practices.  This is an amazing opportunity for a seasoned HR professional to work for a mission driven organization and to make a significant difference in workforce equity, diversity and inclusion.

    1. Partners with and reports to the Director of Human Resources in developing the ongoing vision for the HR function, as well as prioritizing goals and objectives.
    2. Ensures legal compliance through policy and practice standards and advice to management.  Ensures proper administration of and compliance with all Federal and State laws and regulations.  
    3. Act as a trusted advisor to programs and senior operations leaders.  Partners with management on a variety of HR issues to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
    4. Run reports to provide continuous measurements on HR metrics such as turnover, new hire stats, management and employee reports and other tracking measurements.
    5. Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources to implement and deliver HR trainings based on employee relations trends and identified needs.
    6. Builds a strong and trusted relationship with internal client(s).
    7. Manages and develops HR team members.
    8. Acts as a member of both the HR Management team and CCS/CHS Leadership teams.
    9. Proactively supports the design and delivery of HR services and processes, working side-by-side with leaders and managers.
    10. Facilitates and collaborates with all HR functions to ensure delivery of a comprehensive set of services that meet organizational needs.
    11. Actively identifies gaps; proposes and implements changes necessary to cover risks.
    12. Manages complex and difficult HR projects and issues cross-functionally.
    13. Supports workforce and succession planning.
    14. Other duties as assigned.


    1. Bachelors Degree required.
    2. Minimum 7 years of HR experience with previous experience in people management is required.
    3. Demonstrated experience in all disciplines of Human Resources that includes labor and employment laws, legislation and practices with the ability to effectively review risk and exposure on sensitive matters.
    4. High levels of ethics, personal discipline and professionalism required.  This includes abiility to build collaborative relationships with leadership, staff and external partners.
    5. Must possess the ability and experience utilizing sound judgment, problem-solving, decision-making negotiation skills.
    6. Ability to lead a team of professional HR staff.
    7. Demonstrated ability to drive change and manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities in a fast pace environment.
    8. Demonstrated project/team management capabilities.
    9. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power-point, and Word required.  ADP a plus.
    10. Excellent presentation skills required.
    11. Must possess exceptional consultative and customer service skills with the ability to effectively negotiate and manage through issues.
    12. Support the mission, beliefs and values of Catholic social teachings.
    13. Demonstrated the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver and lead with culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations.
    14. Must possess the ability to research information and analyze evidence to arrive at valid conclusions, sound recommendations and plans of action.
    15. Criminal history background checks are required prior to employment.
