    CCS/NW is offering a $1,000 Hiring Bonus to fill this position!


    Hiring Bonus Criteria

    $1,000 hiring bonus - $500 on first paycheck and $500 upon successful completion of 90 day introductory period.


    Incumbent is responsible for the overall facilities maintenance and janitorial, and performs a variety of routine general tasks for the CCS Snohomish County offices (including but not limited to: Everett Family Center, Everett Recovery Center, and the Marysville Recovery Center).  This includes assisting with maintaining building systems and immediately reporting problems to their immediate supervisor and applicable location leadership.  Incumbent works with minimal on-site supervision, applying solid work experience in this area.


    Position is F/T, 37.5 hours per week.  


    Pay is $17.25 - $18.11/hr. DOE, plus excellent holiday / vacation / sick pay and health benefits!


    For internal candidates/union positions only: Compensation is set by agreed to language in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between CCSNW & SEIU 1199NW and determined based on experience.





    1.  Responsible for the up keep and maintenance of agency facilities and grounds which includes: 

    • Office and building maintenance and repairs. 
    • Security point person; providing passive security as needed and report concerns to supervisor and location leadership. 
    • Grounds maintenance. 
    • HVAC, Elevator and Security Alarms. 
    • Other facility related requirements. 

    2.  Receive and investigate requests for maintenance at designated locations.  Track maintenance work orders and complete applicable maintenance requests forms. 


    3.  Perform approved level maintenance repairs, refer to supervisor, or contract with outside vendor.  Remedies may be in the form of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, lock repair/replacement, etc.  Types of repairs include, but are not limited to the following: 

    • Interior painting and touch up exterior painting. 
    • Approved minor electrical repairs, such as replacing fixtures and switches. 
    • Approved minor plumbing repairs, including replacing/repairing toilets and faucets, and auguring drains. 
    • Re-key locks. 

    4.  Coordinate preventative maintenance programs for equipment and systems, as appropriate and needed. 


    5.  Respond in a timely fashion to facility emergencies; keeping supervisor and location leadership apprised of situation and possible remedies. 


    Janitorial Duties: 


    • Incumbent shall provide janitorial services necessary to maintain the premises in a clean, safe and sanitary condition in accordance with agency and industry standards.  Incumbent shall perform daily cleaning, including but not limited to the restrooms, removal of trash, cleaning the windows and vacuuming the carpets, etc. 

    Coordination of Contract Work: 

    • Obtain and submit estimated costs of labor and material for projects to immediate supervisor.
    • Coordinator approved contract work to ensure project completion. 

    Ensure facility procedures are implemented, to include ADA regulations, space planning and office renovation as directed:


    • Work closely with the Human Resources department and program leadership as needed in relation to any ADA or staff required office/space changes. 

    Work closely with supervisor on recommendations, coordination and communication of policies and procedures related to facility operations: 

    • Implement, monitor and maintain policies and procedures. 
    • Provide timely and accurate feedback and information sharing to supervisor related to facilities operations. 



    • To obtain those items necessary to accomplish facilities/grounds maintenance tasks and to replenish janitorial supplies. May include picking up or delivering other non-maintenance-related items. 



    • Act as point person if security/fire alarm is activated; may entail coming to ensure the facility is secured.  This may involve after hours or weekends. 


    • Properly document, store, use, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with CCS Accident Prevention Program Manual. 
    • Understand and use protective equipment. 
    • Identify potential hazards.
    • Implement equipment lock out/tag out procedures. 

    Record Keeping: 


    • Maintain maintenance file records such as Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual building inspection reports, up-to-date maintenance request forms, etc. 

    Other work related duties as assigned. 






    • 2 Years work experience in facilities maintenance and/or repair. 
    • Experience with janitorial/facilities duties.
    • Reliable Transportation, Current WA State Driver’s License & Proof of Current Automobile Insurance. 
    • Proof of acceptable driving history (Driver’s Abstract-Complete Record). 
    • Requires the ability to have effective working relationships with staff, as well as internal and community partners and professionals. 
    • Knowledge of codes and fire regulations.  
    • Ability to multi-task. 
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. 
    • Strong organizational and record keeping skills. 
    • Experience using Microsoft Office products or other electronic record keeping systems. 
    • Willingness to learn and work within a team environment. 
    • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
