This position is a joint effort to respond to community members at a higher risk due to COVID-19 who have not been vaccinated. It will work in close relationship with Grays Harbor and Pacific County Public and Health Departments, SeaMar Community Healthcare Center, Grays Harbor RISE Coalition. It is responsible for providing individuals with accurate COVID vaccine information. To answer any questions, they may have about COVID or the COVID Vaccine or testing, with the support of a professional from the medical field, to ease their concerns about the Covid Vaccine in order for them to make an educated decision about getting vaccinated. The Outreach Specialist is responsible for maintaining updated information regarding COVID vaccination sites.


**Temporary Part-Time 25 hours week**



  • Work with local business, particularly the ones that employed farmworkers, to coordinate visits to their worksites.
  • Contact families to schedule times to visit them at home or at a public place.
  • Work with SeaMar Community Healthcare Center, Grays Harbor and Pacific County Public and Health Departments, to coordinate access to a health care professional.
  • Work with Grays Harbor RISE Coalition to join their efforts to provide vaccine information to farmworkers.
  • Develop a network with community resources such as COVID vaccines and testing sites, needed by clients.
  • Help clients to schedule vaccine appointments.
  • Continue in contact with clients to support them between their first and second dose of the vaccine, in the case that they choose to receive Moderna of Pfizer vaccines.
  • Educate clients on the possible side effects of the vaccine with the support of the medical provider.
  • Provide community connections resource & referral by providing flyers for clients relating to health, education, employment, and housing needs.
  • Provide availability by having frequent drop in office hours and maintaining regular scheduled office hours.
  • In all of the above responsibilities, maintain record of the client referrals and time spent in a file.
  • Keep supervisor informed of any changes to regular working hours of this position and of any upcoming events and services.
  • Comply with all grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors.
  • Attend pertinent meetings that relate to this position.
  • Respond immediately to clients concerns, complaints and inquiries.
  • All other duties as assigned.



  • Able to communicate in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
  • Experience working/life experience with people with various socio-economic backgrounds including low-income families.
  • Knowledge and understanding of cultural barriers people face.
  • Basic knowledge of COVID vaccine.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation, have valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • Must pass a Background Check.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete necessary documentation and instructions, following specific guidelines.
  • Be able to work with a diverse team.
  • Ability to work within the mission, goals, and objectives of Catholic Community Services/ Archdiocesan Housing Authority. 


  • Raised in a farmworker household.
  • Able to understand cultural barriers.
