Overview

Status: Temporary - Potentially up to 6 months. P/T Variable, 0 – 37.5 hours per week, hours are based on caseload/program need.

 

Starting Salary/Hourly Rate: $16.56/hr.

Responsibilities

Incumbent will be responsible for providing information and referral services for clients seeking to access the FWC – Treasury Rental Assistance Program. This position will include screening clients, obtaining required documentation to demonstrate program eligibility and staffing clients with FWC Program Coordinator for TRAP.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Track all incoming calls and voice-mails; return calls within the program-required time-frame; provide information regarding Treasury Rental Assistance Program, including eligibility and documentation requirements.
  • Ensure coverage of TRAP appointments as scheduled.
  • Respond to phone inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Screen interested households to determine program eligibility.
  • Submit “Daily Activity Report” at the end of each work day.
  • Ensure contract compliance, particularly in regards to obtaining documentation demonstrating client eligibility.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of household information in compliance with related policies and procedures.
  • As appropriate, utilize motivational interviewing techniques to help the household identify goals toward increased self-sufficiency and provide information and referrals to programs that will assist the household to achieve aforementioned goals.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM:

  • Bilingual skills - Spanish & English.
  • High School Diploma/GED or related field, OR
  • 1 year of direct experience or volunteer work with migrant Indigenous / Latinx community in a professional setting OR
  • Lived experience with Indigenous/Latinx community. NOTE: A substitution could be a combination of any of the items listed above that equate to 1 year.
  • Committed to the principles of divergent cultures.
  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel and Windows-based applications. Ability to use multiple data bases and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team model.
  • Support and uphold the mission, beliefs and values of Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services.
  • Support and contribute to a creative, collaborative and respectful environment that promotes teamwork.
  • Demonstrates the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations.
  • Criminal History Background Checks are required prior to employment.
