Part-time position (6-8 hours/week), starting at $22.95 - $24.33/hr (D.O.E)
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Issaquah Meals Program (IMP) is a community-based program relying on volunteers to cook and serve dinners Monday through Friday to those in need in the Issaquah area. The IMP is a free hot meal program with no questions asked and are provided free of charge regardless of race, color, sexual orientation, marital status, families with children, political ideology, age, creed, religion, ancestry, national origin, veteran or military status.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Site Leader plays a critical role on the IMP, keeping safe and smooth nightly operations, maintaining records, and ensure program policies and procedures are being followed. This position is the main point of contact for the community utilizing the IMP and responsibilities include excellent customer service skills, organization skills, and providing a safe and inviting atmosphere for volunteers and guests.
Hours: 4:30pm - 6:30pm, Monday-Friday, 2 hours in the field optional (6-8 hours/week)
Job Conditions
This position requires the employee to work in an environment where there may be exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious material. Other exposures could include cleaning supplies, bedbugs, chemicals involved in pest control, paint and other materials used in building maintenance, building temperature fluctuations, dust, noise, and odors. Working conditions include interruptions, crisis response, and regular interactions with individuals who are dealing with issues of chemical dependency and/or mental illness, or are experiencing anger or frustration.
