MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages Nativity House Adult Day Center
- Manages safe, nurturing, and positive center for frail elderly persons and those with disabilities to help meet their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social needs. The Nativity House site is open daily 8:00am to 4:00pm
- Assures appropriate and safe activities occur to include memory activities, crafts, and classes of interest by recruiting volunteers to offer these activities or directing staff to complete the activities or performing them directly.
- Assures nutritious daily meals and snacks are provided for all participants that meet required nutritional requirements.
- Assures personal care is met for participants who need it
- Coordinates complimentary services to seniors and persons with disabilities including podiatry visits, health and dietary education, and physical fitness
- Assists with preparing billing for services
- Responsible for the Adult Day Care budget, meeting budget goals, and tracking program financials
- Responsible for ensuring the target number of clients are eligible and attending the center so that the center remains financially viable
Creates & Maintains ADS standard to include Certification
- Writes and assures CCS meets WAC Certification for Adult Day Care Services which allows DSHS (COPES) to fund care for clients
- Follow and maintain CCS Adult Day Care policies, procedures, and protocols assuring compliance with applicable WAC.
Development of Adult Day Services
- Follows an established project plan and timeline to implement tasks associated with operating the new Nativity House Adult Day Care site including relevant services to be offered, marketing activities and staffing to include employees and volunteers.
- Obtains eligibility for client services to include insurance information and all necessary paperwork needed and works with state partners to ensure eligibility for all interested parties.
- In partnership with Human Resources, recruits, trains, and supervises employees to provide Adult Day Care Services.
Recruits & Supervises Volunteers
- In partnership with Volunteer Services, develops various volunteer opportunities and creates materials and campaigns to recruit volunteers needed to provide services
- Trains volunteers to specific duties and tasks
- Supervises Volunteers
Provides Program Marketing
- Acts as the primary marketer for the Adult Day site in Nativity House
- Creates flyers, literature, brochures, and other materials as needed
Technical Supervision of Adult Day Staff and Volunteers
- Trains Adult Day Care center staff and volunteers on ADS standards and essential functions of their role.
- Performs annual audits and checks on the Adult Day Center assuring the program meets the standards
- Acts as resource to all Adult Day Staff
SUPERVISION
- Supervises 4 to 6 Adult Day Care staff.
HIPAA
- Holds (primary) leadership role in creating a culture of privacy and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in HIPAA Covered Entity service area, including education of staff about their responsibilities for safeguarding privacy and security.
- Authorizes level of staff access to PHI/ePHI to ensure staff can perform assigned job duties; regularly monitors access to ensure appropriate safeguarding of PHI/ePHI.
