POSITON DESCRIPTION: Tumwater Apartments, a housing program of Catholic Housing Services, is a HUD 202 project consisting of 50 units serving elderly or disabled residents. The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) serves as part of the on-site team but is supervised by an off-site supervisor. The RSC is charged with the tasks of creating community within the building, providing information and referrals, and collaborating with other service providers.  The RSC will assist residents and outside elderly community members in obtaining the services they need or want to maintain independence, self-sufficiency, and life satisfaction. Connecting residents to social services and programs that focus on housing success, general wellness, crisis intervention, employment, education, and health and safety is the primary duty of this position.     To effectively house our residents, housing management staff and services staff strive to cooperate and work in tandem.  Housing management and services staff share common goals: the health and wellbeing of residents and the sustainability of the property.  Support for our residents is the overarching goal that CHS strives to achieve, and each of our employees, no matter what their role is an active participant in striving for that.   The person in this position will work closely and collaborate and communicate on a regular and frequent basis with Building Management staff, including the Program Director and Facilities staff.

By offering trauma-informed, client-centered services, The Inn works to stabilize program participants and move them quickly into permanent supportive housing.   POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Services Manager provides leadership and oversight to the services team, which includes two case managers and student interns. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the complex needs of adults experiencing chronic homelessness. The successful candidate will be able to balance and prioritize direct client services, program administration, and advocacy in a fluid work environment. The Services Manager assumes the primary leadership role in the absence of the Program Manager.     This position works Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday, with two shifts per week ending at 7pm (open to discussion).

The Director of Property Management brings servant leadership and housing best practices to Catholic Housing Services of Western Washington’s (CHS) affordable housing programs, creating safe and supportive homes for 5,000 residents in over 60 properties, all of whom live with poverty and many with disabilities and histories of trauma.  We seek an individual who is professional in their capabilities for personnel, resident and property management, and is committed to working for social justice and healing through housing.   The Director of Property Management is part of CHS agency leadership and reports to the CHS Agency Director. The Director PM oversees and directs property management activities and collaborates with other agency leaders to supervise operations, and create policies and procedures that further CHS’ belief in every person having the right to a safe, affordable place to call home.   The Director supervises a team of four Regional Directors, each responsible for their own portfolios established based on population housed (i.e. seniors, single adults, families) and geography. Policies and procedures include but are not limited to establishing appropriate rent levels and collection procedures, management of operational expenses, maintenance of the physical assets, staff development and retention, and sound budgeting practices. The Director works to ensure each community is operating in accordance with their annual property plans and that there is consistency in staff onboarding, and training throughout the housing portfolio.   This position works closely with Catholic Community Services through a robust housing and service model to deliver housing stability to our most vulnerable residents living in our Supportive Housing portfolio.  This position is a member of the leadership team at CHS, which uses a shared leadership model to maximize both resident experience, and staff development and training.  The Director is a standing member on several governing workgroups at CHS. The Director may participate in advocacy activities and represent the agency to government and community organizations that work to serve the poor and vulnerable.   This is a full time, exempt position and includes a benefits package (medical, dental, vision, long term disability, and pension) and generous paid time off.  It is an in-person position, located in our main office in Seattle’s Central District.

The program will have 24-hour monitoring staff on-site supervised by the PSI as well as multiple housing stability case managers that will specifically provide supportive services to all residents and clients. HAS offers resources to meet the basic needs of individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. These services include emergency shelter, meals, systematic outreach to provide supportive services, and a variety of other resources needed to assist guests with meeting their goals. The Mental Health Team offers supportive services through systematic outreach and clinical intervention for guests who receive services at the Nativity House. These services include Rapid Rehousing, Mental Health and Co-Occurring Disorder services.   The Nativity House Case Manager is a member of the Mental Health Team for Homeless Adult Services (HAS), a division of Catholic Community Services. The goal of this position is to assist guests/clients of the Nativity House Overnight Shelter exit the shelter to permanent housing. The position has four primary case-management duties. The first is to build relationships with clients and conduct a screening to identify needs and barriers as well as the client’s strengths.  The second is to work with the client to develop a strength-based and client-centered plan for housing and housing retention.  The third step is to meet regularly with the client to help them procure that complete action steps and achieve measureable goals, resulting in acquiring and retaining permanent housing.  The fourth duty is to maintain the appropriate case management records and confidentiality.  Within each of those steps is the duty to support and help guests be accountable to the Housing Stability Plan that is created.   This position works closely with the other members of the Mental Health Team and Shelter Staff to assist guests in reaching the goal of housing.

$21.36-$26.71 HR/DOE   Catholic Community Services (CCS) has operated the Arrest and Jail Alternatives (AJA) program since the summer of 2020. The program provides peer counseling, case management, and crisis intervention for individuals experiencing homelessness, unmet behavioral health needs, and frequent law enforcement interaction. The goals of the program are to reduce arrests, jail time, and emergency service utilization and increase access to non-emergency behavioral health services and overall wellbeing in the target clientele, while reducing overall costs to the justice system. The staff of the program work closely with behavioral health service providers, housing specialists, crisis responders, law enforcement, corrections, and other agencies to coordinate wraparound services intended to help generate meaningful change.   The Program Supervisor serves as the direct supervisor of the AJA program’s Peer Case Managers, guiding and supporting them in the work. The Supervisor also provides direct services to clients, utilizing their understanding of behavioral health symptoms and diagnoses, treatment best practices, psychopharmacology, and other topics to provide generalized, non-clinical support. They may respond to behavioral health crises involving program participants in the community identified by staff, Olympia Police Department (OPD), the Crisis Response Unit (CRU), and other service providers. They may be exposed to hazards including agitated and threatening clients, needles used for intravenous drug use, and bodily fluids and refuse. The Supervisor is often the first point of contact for a new individual referred to the program, and works with them to develop a recovery plan. They directly oversee the day to day operations of the Peer Case Manager staff, providing case consultation, training, debriefing, and logistical support. The Supervisor reports to the Program Manager, ensuring timely and accurate data collection to facilitate reporting to funders. They regularly attend community meetings and coordinate with community resources as needed. The supervisor may be required to transport clients in their own or agency vehicles. There will be some evening and weekend hours as needed.

$22.36-$28.57 HR/DOE   This is a professional position providing therapeutic interventions to individuals with chronic mental health issues and their families with intensive behavioral health, crisis response, and community safety needs. Therapeutic responses provided by a Clinician I include: crisis intervention and extended stabilization as well as long-term, team-based behavioral health services.   The Clinician I is the primary behavior health treatment provider assigned to an individual. The Clinician I is a lead clinical support, assessing and prescribing mental health treatment, identifying strategies and services to high-risk individuals in their own home and in community locations (e.g. during crisis in emergency departments). The Clinician I position requires the skills and abilities to assess immediate safety and risk “in the moment” in crisis situations while providing direct therapeutic intervention and support for a diverse population with behavioral health needs. The Clinician I will present as a positive and compassionate therapeutic support to the individuals with whom they work at all times.   All services prescribed by the Clinician I must be allowable (billable) through Medicaid and provided as specifically identified and prescribed in the Individualized Mental Health Team Treatment Plan. All treatment services must be documented per required timeframes, in accordance with federal Medicaid requirements and entered into Carelogic, the Electronic Health Record (EHR), as well as medical EHR’s of Managed Care Organizations (MCO’s) or others per contract requirements.   Position requires 24/7 on call availability due to an unstructured work week to include irregular and unpredictable hours. The Wintonia is a 92-unit Permanent Supportive Housing community serving very low-income adults who are homeless at time of move-in.  Applicants are generally alcohol-dependent and may have co-occurring disorders and histories of trauma.  Referrals to the Wintonia are primarily from the Dutch Shisler Sobering Center.   The Wintonia provides permanent supportive housing within a Housing First and Harm Reduction model.      The Wintonia team works from a multi-disciplinary approach in which all staff coordinate services to promote housing stability in an environment that honors and respects the dignity of each resident.    The Program Manager must be a person who is interested in working in a service-enriched housing environment with the goal of enhanced quality of life for the people we serve.

$19.28 - $20.42 HR/DOE   Catholic Community Services, Homeless Adult Services (HAS) is the largest provider of adult homeless services in Tacoma, Washington. Nativity House (NH), a program of HAS, is the central hub to serve homeless adults in the Pierce County region.   It operates 24-hour/7-day a week, offering services (emergency shelter, meals, systematic outreach, Rapid Rehousing, Mental Health and Co-Occurring Disorder treatment, Employment Services, Spiritual Support, 50 units of permanent supportive housing, etc.) to meet the basic needs of individuals experiencing chronic homelessness guests with meeting their goals.   The Lead Shelter Program Generalist oversee the operation of the Nativity House Shelter in the absence of the program supervisor. Provides direction to program specialists and Volunteers to ensure the comfort and safety of guests and employees. Staff in this position provide supervision, program structure, behavior management and a wide range of basic needs services, as well as more advanced social services. This includes helping guests navigate a myriad of social service agencies, forms and interviews. Staffs are trained in behavior management, basic case services, as well as Motivational Interviewing and other counseling skills.
