This Day Center provides a welcoming, warm, and safe place with a community atmosphere for homeless and marginally housed adult men and women. It is anticipated that the Day Center will serve 50 individuals per day; those seeking a place to rest, shower, complete their laundry, and connect with area service providers. The Federal Way Day Center is open five days per week, Monday through Friday. The Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supervision of volunteers, daily operations oversight of the Federal Way Day Center.

On Call Driver - Lewis Co Part Time - On Call $18.35 - $19.45 per Hour DOE   The Senior Transportation Program provides transportation to medical & social service appointments, as well as shopping services throughout Lewis County. The program is for anyone who is at least 60 years old that has no other means of transportation. There is no cost for the program, but donations are greatly appreciated and helps keep this program going. We can travel as far north as Seattle or as far south as Portland. Under close supervision, operates transportation vehicles of various sizes for assigned routes, for scheduled pickup assignments, and in accordance with specific manifest instructions; provides safe, secure, comfortable services to users of the CCS transportation system.

Nativity House (NH), a program of HAS, is the central hub to serve homeless adults in the Pierce County region.   It operates 24-hour/7-day a week, offering services (emergency shelter, meals, systematic outreach, Rapid Rehousing, Mental Health and Co-Occurring Disorder treatment, Employment Services, Spiritual Support, 50 units of permanent supportive housing, etc.) to meet the basic needs of individuals experiencing chronic homelessness guests with meeting their goals.   Staff in this position provide supervision, program structure, behavior management and a wide range of basic needs services, as well as more advanced social services. POSITION DESCRIPTION:   The Rapid Rehousing Program (RRH) supports people to move from homelessness into permanent housing throughout King County. RRH provides financial assistance, housing stability case management, assistance finding an apartment to rent, mitigates barriers on rental records, and provides advocacy on behalf of clients with landlords. Housing Case Managers build strong relationships with clients and meet with them regularly to support their housing stability.   Due to COVID-19 this position works a hybrid schedule with some days at home and some days on site meeting with clients in person. Free parking is available at our offices and parking fees are reimbursed when incurred to meet with a client off site. Bunny Wilburn Home operates seven nights a week with two Women’s Advocates and provides emergency shelter to 40 women. Many of the women we serve have chronic and acute mental illness, addiction issues, and are survivors of trauma. Noel House Programs serves women of all ages (over 18 years) and ethnic backgrounds.   Women’s Advocates are responsible for operating Bunny Wilburn Home, including track of data, keeping the space safe and clean, providing direct service and crisis intervention to women, and fostering a team environment among shelter staff and volunteers.

This is a low-barrier, harm reduction program.  Advocates are responsible for providing direct service to the participants, assisting with the goal of moving participants quickly into permanent housing, and fostering a team environment among shelter staff and volunteers.

Registered Nurse African American Elders Program Full Time $30.00 - $36.00      The African American Elders Program serves African American Elders living in Seattle, Shoreline, and South King County. The program identifies frail, isolated elders, and their caregivers, and assist them in accessing and receiving needed social and health services through ongoing care coordination, support and referrals. The nurse addresses the health effects of inequalities in the prevalence of risk factors and chronic conditions of older African Americans.   This position covers a range of services from assessment through teaching, counseling, health coaching and follow-up activities with the medical community and care coordinators.   The AAEP Nurse promotes access to clinical and preventative health services by: 1. Accessing the functional, medical history, cognitive function, medications, health and well-being of the client, family and home environment. 2. Advocating and Coordinating client care with other health and resource providers, family and community members. 3. Assisting clients with health related referrals, obtain insurance, manage medications, access primary, and specialty care, and other referrals which will improve the clients functioning. 4.
