Program Description
The South King County Shelter (Anchor) serves adults ages 18 and older. These programs directly address the issues of homelessness in South King County by providing a safe place for homeless individuals to rest and receive a nourishing meal, as well as giving them the opportunity to stabilize and work on self-sufficiency through case management. Those who stay at the shelter are provided with case management services which focus on addressing income needs, mental health and CD issues, Veterans’ services, securing permanent affordable housing and health care for each individual.

This position provides support to the Catholic Community Services - King County (CCSKC) Maintenance Director, who oversees maintenance of the Randolph Carter Center (RCC), Kent Family Center, Federal Way Family Center, and 10+ facilities throughout King County. Catholic Community Services, Homeless Adult Services (HAS) is the largest provider of adult homeless services in Tacoma, Washington. HAS offers resources to meet the basic needs of individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. These services include emergency shelter, meals, systematic outreach to provide supportive services, and a variety of other resources needed to assist guests with meeting their goals. The Mental Health Team offers supportive services through systematic outreach and clinical intervention for guests who receive services at the Nativity House. These services include Rapid Rehousing, Mental Health and Co-Occurring Disorder services.
The Nativity House Case Manager is a member of the Mental Health Team for Homeless Adult Services (HAS), a division of Catholic Community Services. The goal of this position is to assist guests/clients of the Nativity House Overnight Shelter exit the shelter to permanent housing. The position has four primary case-management duties. The first is to build relationships with clients and conduct a screening to identify needs and barriers as well as the client’s strengths. The second is to work with the client to develop a strength-based and client-centered plan for housing and housing retention. The third step is to meet regularly with the client to help them procure that complete action steps and achieve measureable goals, resulting in acquiring and retaining permanent housing. The fourth duty is to maintain the appropriate case management records and confidentiality. Within each of those steps is the duty to support and help guests be accountable to the Housing Stability Plan that is created.
This position works closely with the other members of the Mental Health Team and Shelter Staff to assist guests in reaching the goal of housing.

Program Description
Bob G’s Shelter Program provides 24/7 enhanced shelter services for 65 adults aged 50 and older, experiencing homelessness. As a result of their age and living conditions, the majority of our guests suffer from mental and physical disabilities. The shelter serves this special population of older adults who are vulnerable to the weather, street predators, and illness. No referrals are needed for entry into the program. Program Description
St. Martin de Porres Shelter provides 24/7 enhanced shelter and related services for adult men age45 and older experiencing homelessness. No referrals are needed for entry into the program. Participants run the entire spectrum of needs. Many clients have chronic and acute physical health, mental illness, active addiction issues, and/or trauma. This is a low-barrier, harm reduction program. Advocates are responsible for providing direct service to the participants, assisting with the goal of moving participants quickly into permanent housing, and fostering a team environment among shelter staff and volunteers.
Program Purpose:
There are great needs in the African American elder population for these programs to offer resources and support to frail elders. This gap is due to historical institutional racism in the health care system, lack of cultural relevant services and the lack of outreach to the African American community, specifically community resources African American elders’ use and trust. The core objective of the AAEP Program is to connect programs with frail African Americas through partnerships with community resources, to identity contact and educate elders and their families and support systems about available programs
The African American Elders Program serves African-American elders in Central and Southeast Seattle and South King County. The program identifies frail, isolated and hard-to-serve African Americans and assists them in accessing and receiving needed social and health services through ongoing case management, support, referrals, and prevent premature institutionalization.
Position Description:
The African American Elders Program Manager is responsible for actualizing the mission of the African-American Elders Program. The mission is to improve the quality of life of isolated, frail, and low-income African-American elders in King County promoting accessible, high quality, culturally appropriate and comprehensive services. The AAEP identifies isolated African-American elders through outreach and assists them with access to social and health services through ongoing case management, support and referrals. The Program manager must track effectiveness of services through statistical analysis, consumer feedback, and community surveys. This positions oversees a program assistant, care coordinators, counselors and nurses. This position is responsible for a budget of $1.9 million.

Position Description
Perform a variety of routine janitorial duties, grounds maintenance and general building maintenance tasks. Assist with non-routine preparations on units for new tenants. Assist with maintaining building security systems, immediately reporting problems to the property manager and entering units only as directed by the property manager within CHS guidelines. Seek to provide tenants with a safe, positive and sanitary living environment. Perform these tasks with minimum supervision, applying solid work

It is anticipated that the Day Center will serve roughly 50 individuals daily; those seeking a place to rest, shower, complete their laundry, and connect with area service providers.

Catholic Community Services, Homeless Adult Services (HAS) is the largest provider of adult homeless services in Tacoma, Washington. Nativity House (NH), a program of HAS, is the central hub to serve homeless adults in the Pierce County region. It operates 24-hour/7-day a week, offering services (emergency shelter, meals, systematic outreach, Rapid Rehousing, Mental Health and Co-Occurring Disorder treatment, Employment Services, Spiritual Support, 50 units of permanent supportive housing, etc.) to meet the basic needs of individuals experiencing chronic homelessness guests with meeting their goals.
The Lead Shelter Program Generalist oversee the operation of the Nativity House Shelter in the absence of the program supervisor. Provides direction to program specialists and Volunteers to ensure the comfort and safety of guests and employees. Staff in this position provide supervision, program structure, behavior management and a wide range of basic needs services, as well as more advanced social services. This includes helping guests navigate a myriad of social service agencies, forms and interviews. Staffs are trained in behavior management, basic case services, as well as Motivational Interviewing and other counseling skills.
