Grounded in this philosophy, the CHS Property Manager provides leadership and vision to a multi-disciplinary cross-agency team that works together to creatively support each individual or family in our housing.   As this is a Service rich housing program, close coordination, communication and cooperation with the VSC Services Team is required in the day-to-day operations of the building, tenant interactions and program delivery.   Position Description One or two sites totaling 41-90 units, Property Management skills from 2-4 years depending on property size and complexity.   Property Managers at each site oversee the property management activities on site, and coordinate with the maintenance team for service to their buildings. This is a full -time position that provides administrative functions at the location(s) described above. The Property Manager is responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations, including the lease-up of new tenants and recertification of current tenants, overseeing the turnover of units, maintenance and building operations, processing accounts payables, accepting rent, and participating as a member of the management team. The building is the largest single property in the portfolio of Catholic Housing Services of Western Washington, and is closely aligned with the mission of the  Catholic Church.   Position Description A major function of this position is ensuring the safety and security of the residents of the Josephinum Apartments. The front desk/lobby area is the communication/security center of the building, and services are delivered on a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week basis. Front Desk Staff monitor the building, respond to medical and social crisis, interact positively with residents, guests, staff and the general public, allow access of residents and legitimate visitors to the facility, make periodic rounds of the facility, respond to emergency maintenance problems, answer phones and communicate messages, and keep a log of the day’s events.

The program also provides PEARLS, a program that provides problem-solving therapy for older persons with minor depression.   The Program is seeking an experienced counselor to provide (PEARLS), Program to Encourage Active, Rewarding Lives which is a highly effective program designed to reduce depressive symptoms and improve the quality of life in older adults. The position will work with eligible low-income veteran’s spouses, age 55+ who have minor depression and for other low-income elders living throughout King County. The Counselor will also be responsible for community outreach. This position will report to the Program Supervisor for PEARLS.

This is a low-barrier program. The goal of this position is to assist guests/clients of the Nativity House Shelter, exit the shelter to permanent housing. The position has four primary case-management duties. The first is to build relationships with clients and conduct a screening to identify needs and barriers as well as the client’s strengths.  The second is to work with the client to develop a strength-based and client-centered plan for housing and housing retention.  The third step is to meet regularly with the client to help them procure that complete action steps and achieve measurable goals, resulting in acquiring and retaining permanent housing.  The fourth duty is to maintain the appropriate case management records and confidentiality.  Within each of those steps is the duty to support and help guests be accountable to the Housing Stability Plan that is created. This position works closely with the other members of the Supportive Service Team, Adult Behavioral Health Team and Shelter Staff to assist guests in reaching the goal of housing.

$20.12-$21.63 HR/DOE   Drexel House, a 86 unit low-income housing tax credit program and 16 bed emergency shelter that employs the Housing First model for chronically homeless and disabled adults. The program will have 24-hour monitoring staff on-site supervised by the PSI as well as multiple housing stability case managers that will specifically provide supportive services to all residents and clients. The program utilizes Section 8 Project Based Vouchers from the Housing Authority of Thurston County (HATC) and Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC).This position partners with supportive service case managers and maintenance staff while ensuring resident satisfaction.    The Resident Coordinator will have access to all buildings and will provide on-site monitoring for all residents/clients.  The Resident Coordinator will direct the residents/clients to the proper individuals to address concerns.  The individual in this position will be responsible for facility upkeep including light janitorial and cleaning duties (mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces).
