The SUD Professional II is a position that specifically brings an increased number of years of direct clinical experience to the SUD program.  Incumbent is expected to provide all aspects of a SUD Professional position, but with a senior level of clinical skill set that comes with the extensive required experience in the field, including providing mentorship and designated one-on-one support to SUD Trainees. Program Description  Frederic Ozanam House is a 56-unit Single Room Occupancy apartment community for single adult men, age 55 and older, who are homeless at time of move-in. Qualified applicants make at or below 30% of Area Median Income and have a substance use disorder. Referrals to Ozanam are made through King County’s Coordinated Entry service for Single Adults. Ozanam provides permanent supportive housing within a Housing First and Harm Reduction model.   Catholic Community Services is responsible for the day-to-day services at Ozanam House, including 24/7 staffing, outreach and engagement, and housing stability for the residents. Catholic Housing Services provides the on-site property management and maintenance for the building.   The Ozanam team coordinates on-site supportive services that promote housing stability in an environment that honors and respects the dignity of each resident. Gathering spaces and other amenities encourage resident connection and community engagement.   Position Scope  The Program Manager provides leadership and vision to promote the highest level of service delivery to Ozanam residents.  This position oversees the day-to-day operations and supervises supportive services staff.  This position offers an exciting opportunity to expand Housing First Best Practices in service to formerly homeless and mentally ill/chemically dependent individuals who society often ignores and neglects.   The Program Manager has budget oversight for the program. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Bridge Shelter Program provides 24/7 enhanced shelter and related services for adults experiencing homelessness.  Referrals to the program come from King County Coordinated Entry.   Participants are typically people who been identified as high needs adults who are eligible for supportive permanent housing.  Many clients have chronic and acute mental illness, active addiction issues, and/or trauma. This is a low-barrier, harm reduction program.   Case Managers are responsible for providing direct service to the participants by identifying barriers to them reaching the goal of quickly into permanent housing, and working with the participant to overcome those barriers.  Case Managers will foster a team environment among shelter staff and volunteers   POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Case Manager provides engagement and support services to people who may use illicit substances, have significant mental or physical health issues, or are part of other stigmatized populations by using a positive, harm reduction approach.  The emphasis is on meeting individuals “where they are at” and providing non-judgmental, non-coercive services and resources to individuals.  The Case Manager will work directly with participants to ensure their personal choices don’t interfere with obtaining stabilized permanent housing, and to develop individualized goals for enrichment, stability, wellness and recovery as applicable.  Case Managers will work closely with the Coordinated Entry program and will refer and advocate for participants to obtain appropriate resources and permanent supportive housing
