Program Description
Housing and Essential Needs is a statewide program and Catholic Community Services has contracted with King County to implement and deliver the prevention services locally. DSHS clients deemed eligible by DSHS (Department of Social and Health Services) to receive prevention funding to cover rental and/or utility expenses. Program staff will be located in offices throughout King County. It is anticipated that 1,800+ people will receive assistance through the HEN program in King County.
Position Description
The Resource Specialist conducts brief phone assessments with clients to verify initial eligibility and then they schedule qualified clients for a full assessment in the appropriate office. The intake line receives over 3,000 calls a month and staff schedule nearly 2,500 appointments a month. The Martina Apartments is a 60 unit permanent housing program operated by Catholic Housing Services that focuses on addressing the issue of homelessness among people enrolled in local continued education programs. Referrals come from Seattle Community Colleges that have identified a student as experiencing homelessness, and who fits the eligibility criteria for the Greenwood Apartments. Benedict House is an innovative program that provides emergency shelter and transitional housing with supportive services for single homeless men and homeless men with children. This unique program incorporates two elements of the Continuum of care model emergency housing and transitional housing. The underlying purpose is to help residents rebuild their lives and to move them towards permanent housing, the third element in the model. Residents may stay for a period of up to 90 days in an emergency bed, up to 1 year in a transitional bed.
The Case Manager (CM) plays an integral role as one of the staff members of the Benedict House (BH), a division of Catholic Community Services. Program Description
Housing and Essential Needs (HEN) is a statewide program and Catholic Community Services has contracted with King County to deliver the services throughout the county. HEN provides rent, utility, transportation, and essential needs assistance to disabled adults who are homeless or at-risk of losing their housing. Close to 3,000 people are currently enrolled in the HEN program, with new intakes into the “Transportation and Essential Needs” (TEN) portion of the program conducted every week. Supportive Services for Veteran Families provides Rapid Rehousing services for Veterans experiencing homelessness. The focus of the program is to assist Veterans and their families in finding a permanent place to call home. The program is funded through a grant with the Veterans Administration.
Position Description:
The Case Manager is a member of the Veterans Services team within Catholic Community Services. This position maintains a caseload of households in the Supportive Services for Veteran Families program. The position includes outreach activities in the community, completing thorough intakes and eligibility screening with referred clients, assessing housing needs and providing financial assistance for housing costs, and assisting clients to secure housing if they are homeless. The Case Manager uses Housing First and Progressive Engagement approaches to engage and work with Veteran households. The SUD Professional II (a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a SUD Professional) is a position that specifically brings an increased number of years of direct clinical experience to the SUD program. Program Description:
High Intensity Philosophy -The WISe program provides an integrated and flexible array of strengths-based services and intensive supports to families with children who have serious mental health and other needs. All services are delivered with the following core values in mind: safety of the child, family and community, flexible and responsive, family driven; normative, family oriented, strengths based, comprehensive and collaborative, unconditional, individualized and culturally relevant.
Position Description:
Family Support Partners collaborate, provide peer support and help facilitate services for families receiving high intensity services (WISe). They work as a team member with other agency, system and community people. Family Support Partners help parents voice their own perspective and assure other team members are able to understand that perspective. They represent a parent orientation and perspective in all internal and external agency activities. They build confidence with parents that their family can be successful after services have been completed. They provide parent guidance/education as needed.

Program Description
Michael’s Place provides transitional housing to 18 homeless male veterans. The focus of the program is to assist veterans in finding a permanent place to call home. The program is funded through a Grant Per Diem contract with the Veterans Administration.
Position Description
The live-in Life Skill Coordinator receives the use of a bedroom and private bathroom in exchange for evening and overnight on call coverage for emergency issues. In addition, the Life Skill Coordinator works 25 paid hours per week.
