Duties involve maintenance plumbing; carpentry; drywall; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; to keep all of CHS's facilities in good repair. Assists with maintaining building security systems, immediately reporting problems to management and entering units only as directed by the manager within CHS guidelines. Provides tenants with a safe, positive and sanitary living environment. Performs a variety of routine general building maintenance and repair tasks, occasional grounds maintenance and janitorial duties. Performs these tasks with minimum supervision, applying solid work experience in this area.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Housing and Essential Needs is a statewide program and Catholic Community Services has contracted with King County to deliver the prevention services locally. HEN provides rental assistance, housing search assistance, transportation assistance, and other needed services to disabled adults who are homeless or at-risk of losing their housing. Over 1,800 people receive assistance through the HEN program in King County each month. POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for ensuring the program policies and procedures are implemented in keeping with the program contracts. This position directly supervises 10+ Prevention Case Managers. The program operates out of several two Catholic Community Services family centers. The program provides housing and employment counseling on a case by case basis.. This position oversees over $24 million of public funding.

The Case Manager works closely with the residents, identifying challenges and resources, developing skills and strategies to facilitate lease compliance. This position will also maintain a case load of residents and will work closely with the residents and services team to provide case management services and to maintain housing stability.
