CCS provides community mental health services to Medicaid eligible children and their families in Skagit County. After an initial assessment and determination of need for ongoing help, core mental health services available at CCS include individual and/or family counseling/therapy, medication evaluation/management and coordination with primary care physicians, and case management.    Incumbent provides direct clinical services and case management to meet the therapeutic needs of children/teens and families, as part of an agency clinical team.   Incumbent is responsible for maintaining required clinical documentation and billing information related to caseload, participating in required CQI activities, collaborating with community colleagues and treatment/support teams as appropriate, and engaging in supervision activities with supervisor.    Status: Full time, 37.5 hours per week.   Starting Salary/Hourly Rate:  $22.95 - $24.10 per hour DOE, plus excellent holiday / vacation / sick pay and health benefits!    For internal candidates/union positions only: Compensation is set by agreed to language in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between CCSNW & SEIU 1199NW and determined based on experience.

Catholic Housing Services believes everyone deserves the right to a safe, affordable place to call home.  Inspired by this vision, CHS develops, owns and manages affordable housing programs for low-income families and individuals; currently including 2,100 units of housing in 50 different buildings across Western Washington.   We provide supportive services for people who have experienced homelessness, low income seniors, farm worker families, and those who have special physical and mental needs. Following best practices in serving individuals with chronic histories of homelessness, CHS has developed several Permanent Supportive Housing Communities (PSH) that follow a Housing First, Harm Reduction based model of services.  As CHS has continued to grow and expand, we have identified a need for leadership and vision for this expanding group of properties in King County.    PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: 46 unit low income property for families with a set-aside for farmworkers located in the Centralia area. These are large units with 2, 3 & 4 bedrooms with outdoor patios.  Common spaces include community room, playground and assigned parking.   POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under supervision of the Area Director of Property Operations (ADPO), the Assistant Property Manager is responsible for assisting management with the day-to-day business and administrative operations of this building. The primary role of this team member is to support supervisors and co-workers with day to day business tasks. This team member will also act as a liaison between staff, tenants and community resources.   Status: F/T,  37.5 hours/week.   Starting Salary/Hourly Rate: $18.64+ per hour DOE. The Regional Director of Property Operations (RDPO) is accountable for overseeing and ensuring the quality of our housing and the financial sustainability of a portfolio of affordable housing developments as designated by the Agency Director. The RDPO oversees housing operations, supervises housing management and maintenance staff, and is accountable for financial and key performance indicators of the assigned portfolio; and works closely with other departments or community agencies that provide supportive services to residents.   The Management Staff consists of an Area Director of Property Operations (ADPO), Property Managers, Assistant Managers and Maintenance Staff.  The ADPO and Managers at each site oversee the property management activities on site, and coordinate with the maintenance team for service to their buildings.  The RDPO will directly supervise the ADPO and Managers and oversee all aspects of the housing operations of this group of buildings, ensuring high quality housing promoting housing stability, sound financial management, compliance with funder requirements, and long-term planning for building maintenance to ensure residents are well served by these buildings for many years to come. Additionally the RDPO will participate in advocacy activities and represent the agency to the government and community organizations that work to serve the poor and vulnerable.       The SW Farmworker portfolio has 7 properties – 3 located in Centralia that provide 171 units, 1 located in Kelso with 26 units and 3 located in Woodland with two sharing the campus at 77 units and the other within a mile distance providing 51 units.   These properties are operating in support of economic development initiatives focused on the Farmworker community in Western Washington. Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services have implemented initiatives that focus on what we call “Communities of Concern.” They are the poor and low-wage earners in the Black, urban Native American and Latino/Chicano communities. In these initiatives, we focus on creating community economic opportunities through the development of affordable housing, transformative services and the authentic promotion of asset acquisition.  The person in this role will be responsible for expanding this initiative specifically in the southwest region of Western Washington through new housing development and creating partnerships that provide resources and stability for the families and the properties.  The person in this position will need to be bilingual in Spanish and English, familiar with the region and specifically knowledgeable of the farmworker community. The ADPO will work directly within the portfolio region on a daily basis with some travel to Tacoma and Seattle.    Position is F/T, 37.5 hours per week.   Salary DOE, with excellent benefits and generous paid leave.

  The Aloha Inn is a 24/7 enhanced shelter and related services for adults experiencing homelessness. Many clients have behavioral health issues, active addiction issues and/or trauma. This is a low barrier, harm reduction program. Nativity House (NH), a program of HAS, is the central hub to serve homeless adults in the Pierce County region.   It operates 24-hour/7-day a week, offering services (emergency shelter, meals, systematic outreach, Rapid Rehousing, Mental Health and Co-Occurring Disorder treatment, Employment Services, Spiritual Support, 50 units of permanent supportive housing, etc.) to meet the basic needs of individuals experiencing chronic homelessness guests with meeting their goals. The Stability Site is a homeless shelter/ meals site that provides 1-3 meals daily (Sunday through Monday), as well as a safe and respectful environment where homeless and low-income individuals in Tacoma and Pierce County may access an array of emergency and supportive services. Benedict House offers emergency and transitional housing for single homeless men and homeless men with children in Kitsap County.  Consisting of 24 beds and one family room, Benedict House also provides case management, meals, and other essential supports for residents.Nativity House Apartments is a permanent supportive housing and services facility for currently and formerly homeless individuals utilizing the Housing First model.  This position fills the need to have 24-hour monitoring staff on-site to assist staff, residents, guests and visitors. While on shift at the front desk, the Resident Coordinator’s primary focus is the Nativity House Apartments to provide on-site monitoring, program enforcement and assistance for staff, residents, guests and visitors.    Staff in this position provides supervision, program structure, behavior management and a wide range of basic needs services, as well as more advanced social services. This includes helping guests navigate a myriad of social service agencies, forms and interviews. Staff is trained in behavior management, basic case services, as well as motivational interviewing and other counseling skills. $17.48 - $18.53 HR/DOE   The Coordinated Entry Case Manager is a member of the service team for the Nativity House Homeless Adult Services division of Catholic Community Services. This position provides screening and intake of people seeking homeless services, utilizing assessment and prioritization tools as well as homeless diversion strategies.  Diversion is a brief emergency intervention that provides a combination of direct services which includes engagement of client resources, landlord/host mediation, and connections to mainstream services and resources, and housing placement and/or financial assistance to families as needed. The intended result of Diversion is to identify an alternate safe housing arrangement that removes the immediate need for additional homeless services such as emergency shelter, rapid re-rehousing or transitional housing. Clients without a Diversion option are assessed with a prioritization tool by the Coordinated Entry Case Manager for potential referral to a service provider. (Clients with the highest priority vulnerability and barriers are referred first.)   The Coordinated Entry Case Manager will work directly with individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The successful candidate for this position is energetic and non-judgmental and can actively listen, empathize and facilitate problem-solving with clients toward a stable housing plan, while also helping them navigate community resources. The Coordinated Entry Case Manager seeks to bolster persons’ own ability to think for themselves, weigh and consider options, advocate for their own needs, and ultimately act on their own behalf. The Coordinated Entry Case Manager must also be responsive to emergent housing crisis.   Duties include coordinating intakes at multiple community locations with partner agencies, assessing housing needs and providing prompt assistance as needed for housing stability options, and assisting clients to secure housing. The case manager also enters client data into the Homeless Management Information System.  In collaboration with the service team, the Case Manager is responsible for developing and tracking client-defined, goal-oriented Housing Stability Plans, assessing the needs of referred households, utilizing community resources to meet identified individual needs with the goal of stabilizing permanent housing in 30 – 60 days. This position works closely with the Program Supervisor and provides support as requested with the overall objective to provide outstanding services to families served by Catholic Community Services.

$18.64 - $23.31 HR/DOE   Family Housing Network Veteran Homeless Prevention program provides supportive services to Veteran households at imminent risk of homelessness, or who have become homeless within the past 90 days.   The Case Manager maintains a caseload of 15 households in the Supportive Services for Veteran Families program. This includes outreach activities in the community, completing thorough intakes and eligibility screening with referred clients, assessing housing needs and providing prompt financial assistance as needed for housing costs, and/or assisting clients to secure housing if they are homeless. The case manager actively uses Housing First and progressive engagement while interviewing and working with veteran households. In addition, the case manager enters client data into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). This position offers a unique opportunity to be a part in building and foster this new communities’ culture.  Referrals are received through King County coordinated entry.  Catholic Housing Services and Catholic Community services are in close collaboration to provide the most enhanced resident experience and supportive community to those recently exited from homelessness.  The property provides services with 24/hour staff and onsite delivery of case management.  Project based vouchers are provided through the King County Housing Authority and VASH.  The property will need to operate within a blending of multiple funders including Tax Credits, Commerce and HUD.   Position Description Under supervision of the Property Manager, the Assistant Property Manager is responsible for assisting management with the day-to-day business and administrative operations of this building. The primary role of this team member is to support supervisors and co-workers with day to day business tasks. This team member will also act as a liaison between staff, tenants and community resources.   To effectively house our residents, property management staff and supportive services staff strive to cooperate and work in tandem.  Services and property management staff share common goals: the health and wellbeing of residents and the sustainability of the property.  Support for our residents is the overarching goal that CHS strives to achieve, and each of our employees, no matter their role is an active participant in striving for that.  The person in this position will work closely to collaborate and communicate on a regular and frequent basis with onsite services.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION Housing and Essential Needs (HEN) program provides case management, rent and utility payments, transportation assistance, and hygiene/cleaning items to nearly 2,000 clients each month in King County. The program operates out of six Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) offices as well as two Catholic Community Services family centers. The program provides housing and employment counseling to clients who are facing housing instability and/or homelessness.  The program also works with funders to pilot innovative strategies to provide rent subsidies targeted at preventing people from losing their housing.   POSITION DESCRIPTION This position provides oversight of all case management and housing stability activities for the program.  This involves direct supervision of 9 FTE program staff, and indirectly supports all HEN staff with training, data reports, scheduling and maintenance of client records and data integrity. The Services Manager is responsible for comprehensively understanding the targeted population of the program, handling specific administrative functions, providing support and oversight of the service management team, and serving as part of the integrated leadership team.  The Services Manager coordinates client care and housing placement with other internal and external service providers.  The position works to leverage Foundational Community Support benefits for HEN clients.  This position incorporates direct client service, advocacy and program administration.

Our goal is to help women stabilize, envision the future and move out of homelessness permanently.   Position Description    Women’s Advocates are responsible for creating a safe, welcoming environment, offering assistance and support to the women who reside at BWH, and fostering a team environment among shelter staff and volunteers.  As a low-barrier, harm reduction program, staff engage women where they are, using a strengths-based approach and trauma-informed care. All shelter staff are responsible for answering the women’s referral phone line and coordinating immediate shelter placement within our women’s shelter network in Seattle and King County.
