Program Descriptions The Bridge Shelter Program provides 24/7 enhanced shelter and related services for adults experiencing homelessness.  Referrals to the program come from King County Coordinated Entry and the Navigation team.   Participants are typically people who been identified as high needs adults who are eligible for supportive permanent housing.  Many clients have chronic and acute mental illness, active addiction issues, and/or trauma.  This is a low-barrier, harm reduction program.   SHARE-WHEEL case management provides case management services at SHARE and WHEEL shelter sites.  SHARE shelter participants are typically people with lower levels of needs and can participate in a self-managed program.  WHEEL shelter participants are typically women who been identified as high needs clients.  Many have chronic and acute mental illness, active addiction issues, and/or trauma.  The WHEEL shelter is a low-barrier program.   Position Description The Services Manager is responsible for comprehensively understanding the targeted population of the program, handling specific administrative functions, providing support and oversight of the service management team, and serving as the Program Manager in the Program Manager’s absence.  This position incorporates direct client service, advocacy and program administration.   The Services Manager is responsible for staff supervision, regular recruitment and hiring of staff, management of volunteers, and supervision of student interns   The Services Manager takes a key role in advocating for increased low barrier harm reduction services and permanent housing opportunities that can accommodate this vulnerable population.  This requires managing strong relationships with community leaders and funders.

 PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Lazarus Center provides 24/7 enhanced shelter and related services for adult men and women age 50 and older, experiencing homelessness.  Our mission is to provide a hospitable and low barrier shelter with a harm reduction model. This is to be done in the spirit of the ministry of presence, which fosters attention to the individual and respect for each person’s unique situation. This shelter is for a population of older people who are vulnerable to the weather, street predators, and illness. These people may be high needs, have serious physical disabilities, chronic and acute mental illness, active chemical dependency and trauma.  The Lazarus Center emphasizes moving people into permanent housing through case management. Case Managers are responsible for providing direct service to the participants by identifying barriers to them reaching the goal of quickly into permanent housing, and working with the participant to overcome those barriers.  Case Managers will foster a team environment among shelter staff and volunteers. CCS is committed to making our services, our agencies and our communities free of the divisive and dehumanizing ravages of racism. We strive for anti-racist programming and practices by supporting racial equity and justice in our daily work.     POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Case Manager provides engagement and support services to people who may use illicit substances, have significant mental or physical health issues, or are part of other stigmatized populations by using a positive, harm reduction approach.   The emphasis is on meeting individuals “where they are at” and providing non-judgmental, non-coercive services and resources to individuals.  The Case Manager will work directly with participants to obtain stabilized permanent housing, and to develop individualized goals for enrichment, stability, wellness and recovery as applicable.   Case Managers will work closely with the Coordinated Entry program and will refer and advocate for participants to obtain appropriate resources and permanent housing.

$19.97- $24.96 HR/DOE   Family Housing Network Veteran Homeless Prevention program provides supportive services to Veteran households at imminent risk of homelessness, or who have become homeless within the past 90 days.   The Case Manager maintains a caseload of 15 households in the Supportive Services for Veteran Families program. This includes outreach activities in the community, completing thorough intakes and eligibility screening with referred clients, assessing housing needs and providing prompt financial assistance as needed for housing costs, and/or assisting clients to secure housing if they are homeless. The case manager actively uses Housing First and progressive engagement while interviewing and working with veteran households. In addition, the case manager enters client data into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). In collaboration with the service team, the Case Manager is responsible for developing and implementing client-defined, goal-oriented Housing Stability Plans, assessing the needs of referred households, utilizing VA and community resources to meet identified individual needs with the goal of stabilizing permanent housing in the shortest time possible. This position works closely with the Veterans Program Supervisor and provides support as requested with the overall objective to provide outstanding case management to families served by Catholic Community Services.

The program is for anyone who is at least 60 years old that has no other means of transportation. There is no cost for the program, but donations are greatly appreciated and helps keep this program going. We can travel as far north as Seattle or as far south as Portland. Under close supervision, operates transportation vehicles of various sizes for assigned routes, for scheduled pickup assignments, and in accordance with specific manifest instructions; provides safe, secure, comfortable services to users of the CCS transportation system.

Nativity House (NH), a program of HAS, is the central hub to serve homeless adults in the Pierce County region.   It operates 24-hour/7-day a week, offering services (emergency shelter, meals, systematic outreach, Rapid Rehousing, Mental Health and Co-Occurring Disorder treatment, Employment Services, Spiritual Support, 50 units of permanent supportive housing, etc.) to meet the basic needs of individuals experiencing chronic homelessness guests with meeting their goals.   Staff in this position provide supervision, program structure, behavior management and a wide range of basic needs services, as well as more advanced social services. This includes helping guests navigate a myriad of social service agencies, forms and interviews. Staff are trained in behavior management, basic case services, as well as Motivational Interviewing and other counseling skills.   Open Shift at the Hotel: 2 position –FT Graveyard (12am to 8am)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:   The Rapid Rehousing Program (RRH) supports people to move from homelessness into permanent housing throughout King County. RRH provides financial assistance, housing stability case management, assistance finding an apartment to rent, mitigates barriers on rental records, and provides advocacy on behalf of clients with landlords. Housing Case Managers build strong relationships with clients and meet with them regularly to support their housing stability.   Due to COVID-19 this position works a hybrid schedule with some days at home and some days on site meeting with clients in person. Free parking is available at our offices and parking fees are reimbursed when incurred to meet with a client off site. Bunny Wilburn Home operates seven nights a week with two Women’s Advocates and provides emergency shelter to 40 women. Many of the women we serve have chronic and acute mental illness, addiction issues, and are survivors of trauma. Noel House Programs serves women of all ages (over 18 years) and ethnic backgrounds.   Women’s Advocates are responsible for operating Bunny Wilburn Home, including track of data, keeping the space safe and clean, providing direct service and crisis intervention to women, and fostering a team environment among shelter staff and volunteers.

$18.72 - $19.84 HR/DOE   The Mitigation Site is a sanctioned camp site that provides safe camping for adults experiencing homelessness in Olympia.  CCS strives to provide a safe and respectful environment where program participants can access an array of emergency and supportive services and work towards more permanent housing.  Staff in this position provide supervision, program structure, behavior management and a wide range of basic needs services, as well as more advanced social services. This includes helping guests navigate a myriad of social service agencies, forms and interviews. Staff are trained in behavior management, basic case services, as well as Motivational Interviewing and other counseling skills. This position is in charge or maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the site and surrounding area.
